Two upcoming Chicago artist talks:
-This Wednesday, 2/20 at Lillstreet Art Center (FB invite), where I’ll be talking about recent sculptural and photographic works that deal with ruin, entropy, and fiction.
-A week from Wednesday, on 2/27 at DePaul Art Museum, where I’ll be talking about my time spent in Appalachia photographing the coal industry.
My old buddy from Baltimore, John Kyle Zimmerman, has my favorite instagram by far. Consistently blown away. (instagram handle - john_kyle_zimmerman)
Over the past 6 weeks, I’ve been having a conversation with Stanley at The Great Leap Sideways and the feature was just posted today. I hesitate to call it an interview because Stanley’s questions had at least as much content as my responses. I’m really happy with this conversation and Stanley’s insight, spend some time on his site. As always, a large edit of Blisner, Ill. is also on my site.
